Pricing

One kitchen,
one subscription

The free tier is a real one, and it stays free. Saucery Pass lifts the recipe limit and adds Whisp and the price tracking, for everyone in the house, on every phone.

Twenty recipes, the week’s plan, the shopping list, cook mode and the whole family. No card, no clock on it.

Get the app

Subscribing is a separate step, taken when you choose to: Saucery Pass is billed monthly or yearly through the App Store, Google Play, or by card on the web. One subscription covers the whole family.

Prices are in US dollars, before tax. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.

A card subscription on the web is billed in New Zealand dollars: $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year. The App Store and Google Play charge the USD price above.

We picked US dollars from the country your connection is in, using IP Geolocation by DB-IP. Choose another currency above if it is wrong.

What you get

Free against Saucery Pass

Three things are held back, and they are the three that cost us money to run: the size of your collection, everything Whisp does, and the grocery prices. The rest of the app is the rest of the app.

Common questions

Before you subscribe

How does the free trial work?

Every new family gets seven days of Saucery Pass, and it starts the moment the family is created. It is ours, not the App Store’s or Google Play’s: there is no card to enter, nothing to cancel, and no charge at the end of it. On day eight the account simply carries on as a free one, with everything still in it. Subscribing is a separate step you take when you want to.

Does the subscription cover my whole family?

Yes. One Saucery Pass applies to the entire family group, and every member gets every feature from their own device. It is billed once, not per person.

Do the grocery prices work where I live?

Only in New Zealand, for now. The price history, the specials and the honest verdict on a “deal” are built on Woolworths, Pak’nSave and New World. You choose the store you shop at, and Pak’nSave and New World price store by store. Everywhere else that part of Saucery Pass sits idle. Everything else works wherever you cook: unlimited recipes, Whisp, and importing from a link or a photograph.

How do I subscribe?

Download The Saucery from the App Store or Google Play, create a family, then open Settings → Subscription. Payment is handled by your app store. You can also subscribe by card from your account page on the web.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep Saucery Pass until the end of the period you have paid for. After that the account reverts to the free tier. Nothing is deleted: not a recipe, not a plan, not a photograph.

What if I have more than 20 recipes when I cancel?

You keep every one of them, and you can read, cook and share all of them. The limit only stops you adding a new recipe until you are back under it or subscribed again.
