Delete your account

Deleting your account is immediate and can't be undone.

Where to find it

On iPhone: Settings, tap your name at the top to open Account, then Delete Account at the bottom.

On Android: Settings > Account, then Delete account at the bottom.

You're asked Delete account? Tap Delete to go ahead. The app signs you out.

There's no delete button on the web. If you can't get into either app, email us from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you. The address is on the privacy policy.

Cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription first

Deleting your account doesn't stop a Saucery Pass subscription you bought through the App Store or Google Play. Only Apple and Google can stop those, and the delete screen doesn't remind you. Cancel it before you delete:

  • App Store: your iPhone's Settings > your name > Subscriptions > The Saucery.
  • Google Play: the Play Store > your profile picture > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > The Saucery.

A Saucery Pass subscription bought by card on the web is cancelled for you when the last person in the family deletes their account, and the card isn't charged again.

What goes with it

Your profile, your sign-ins and your conversations with Whisp are deleted.

What happens to the family depends on who else is in it:

  • You're the only one in it. The family goes too: its recipes and their photos, meal plans, shopping lists and staples.
  • Other people share it. The family stays, and so does everything in it. The recipes you added stay in the book, listed under another member instead of you. A Saucery Pass subscription you started on the web stays with the family and goes on charging the same card. If you don't want that, cancel it first with Manage subscription on the Account page at thesaucery.nz.

Signing up again later

You can make a new account with the same email at any time. It starts empty, and the free trial isn't given a second time: a new family on that email starts on the free plan.
