Sharing Recipes
Sharing a recipe
- Open the recipe you want to share.
- Tap the Share button.
- A shareable link is generated that you can send via text, email, or any messaging app.
What the recipient sees
Anyone with the link can view the full recipe in their browser -- ingredients, steps, photos, and all. They don't need an account of their own.
If they do have The Saucery installed, the page offers a button to open the recipe directly in the app and add it to their collection.
If you don't have the app yet
Tapping Open in The Saucery does nothing visible when the app isn't installed, and the link can't follow you through the install. So:
- Install The Saucery from the App Store or Google Play, using the buttons lower down the shared page.
- Open the app and sign in, or create your account.
- Go back to the link you were sent and tap Open in The Saucery again. The recipe is saved to your book.
If you've already saved that recipe, tapping the link again opens your copy and doesn't make a second one.
Does a saved recipe count towards the free limit?
Yes. A recipe you save from a link is a recipe in your book like any other, so it counts towards the free recipe limit. Saucery Pass has no limit.
Link expiry
Shared recipe links don't expire. Anyone you've sent one to can open it whenever they like.
