Chatting with Whisp

What is Whisp?#

Whisp is your AI kitchen companion. Unlike generic chatbots, Whisp knows your family's recipes, your meal plan, your shopping list, and your pantry. Every answer is grounded in what you actually cook.

Opening a chat#

Tap the Whisp tab at the bottom of the app to start a conversation.

What Whisp can do#

• Answer cooking questions: "How long do I roast a chicken?" or "What can I substitute for cream?"
• Search your recipes: "Do we have a pasta recipe?" or "Find something with chicken thighs."
• Create new recipes: "Create a recipe for beef stew" -- Whisp writes the full recipe with ingredients and steps.
• Manage your meal plan: "Fill my week" or "Add the pasta bake to Wednesday."
• Update your shopping list: "Add milk to the shopping list."
• Manage staples: "Add eggs to our staples."
• Check cooking history: "When did we last make lasagne?"
• Generate recipe photos: "Generate a photo for the chicken curry." You can also give guidance on how the image should look, e.g. "Generate a photo for the chicken pie — show it cut open with the filling visible."
• Check grocery prices: "Is steak on special?" (Saucery Pass, with a price provider enabled.)

Context awareness#

Whisp knows which screen you're on. If you're viewing a recipe and ask "can I halve this?", Whisp knows which recipe you mean. If you're on the meal plan and ask "what should we have on Thursday?", Whisp sees the plan.

Conversations#

Each chat is saved as a conversation. You can start new conversations or continue previous ones from the conversation list.
